Replacement grippers for a labeller
On a KOSME Flexa Combicol 960-8-4 labeller with spring-loaded grippers that catch the bottle by themselves, one small plastic part broke. We measured the broken piece, reproduced it faithfully and made a replacement ready to fit.

When a small part breaks
Spring grippers are a complex mechanism: small parts, constant load, wear. When one breaks, the position is out of service until a replacement arrives from abroad. And the part is often not easy to find quickly.
Original and replacement, side by side

What we did
- 1
Measurement and design
We measured the broken part and reproduced its geometry. We looked closely at exactly where it failed, so the replacement holds up in the same spot.
- 2
Manufacturing
The manufacturing method is chosen to fit the part: high-strength 3D printing, machining, or a combination. For this part we used high-strength 3D printing.
- 3
Time
3-5 working daysThe time from receiving the broken part to the finished replacement is 3-5 working days.

Spare parts: common questions
Do you need a drawing of the part?
No. The broken part itself is enough. From it we take every measurement we need.
What if the part has broken into several pieces?
It is not a problem. A few pieces with a clean geometry are enough to reconstruct the whole part.
When the same part keeps breaking
When the same piece breaks again and again, the replacement is not the problem. The problem is how the station is designed, or how the line is set. We look at it and tell you what is causing it.

Send us a photo of the part. We will tell you if we can make it, and in how long.
